How do I get an App Password for Microsoft?

We recommend connecting your email address via the Microsoft option when adding a Mail Account.

But if you'd prefer to connect via SMTP or you're trying to connect your Microsoft mail account to the warm up tool in Sequences, you'll need to use an App Password when setting up SMTP.

1. In your Microsoft Outlook inbox, click on your profile in the upper right corner

2. Click My Microsoft Account

   

3. In the new tab that opens, click Security. You might be prompted to enter your Microsoft password in again.

   

4. Click Two Step Verification or Manage how I sign in

   1. You'll see the Two Step Verification option in the upper right corner if you haven't enabled it - click on that and follow the steps to enable Two-Step Verification

      

   2. If you don't see that option, click Manage how I sign in

      

5. Scroll down and click Create New App Password

   

6. Use the App Password that's generated on the screen to set up your SMTP settings when connecting via SMTP or connecting to the warm up tool
